I loved our prophet Gordon B. Hinckley very much. He was my favorite prophet. I remember when I was 9 years old, my mom had taken us up to temple square. We were on a vacation visiting from New Mexico. We went to the church office building and were walking up the stairs. Coming down the stairs was Gordon B. Hinckley. He was than the first counselor for Ezra Taft Benson but I recognized him right away. I ran up to him and shook his hand.. He was so nice and friendly. He took time to shake all our hands and even answered a question that my mom had. I knew he was in a hurry but it was something that I have always remembered. What a sad but happy time!! I will miss him greatly as our prophet. But, he is with his wife once again...

I feel the same way, I am so sad because I loved him so much and yet I am happy for him because I know that he is with his wife now. President Hinckley was the Prophet that I grew up with and I will miss him so much.
What a blessing it is to have such seamless leadership. I too loved President Hinckley - what a positive person - he seemed to look for the good in the world and in the church - I appreciated the talks where he told us all that we were OK, that we were valued and that he appreciated what we were doing. It is also nice to know that the church will pause for a moment to honor him but that it won't skip a beat in moving forward. That is quite a testament to President Hinckley and those who have come before him that they have built such a organization - truly a rok cut out of the mountain without hands that continues to roll forth to fill the entire earth. God bless his family during their time of separation.
