This has been a favorite quote of mine for many years. Joel used to carry it in his wallet on a blue slip of paper which Jonathan now carries in his wallet.

This is true but I find that I don't feel the guidance in the here and now but that I almost always recongnize it after the fact. I'm just a slow learner I think.
